Adding capacity and working smarter in our UK service operation

Talley are delighted to announce the opening of our brand new, state of the art, decontamination and service centre in Braintree, Essex.

The latest addition to the Talley Group service centre portfolio opened its doors on the 1^st June and adds much needed capacity to meet the growing service and decontamination requirements for our UK business and more specifically, our local pressure area care (PAC) mattress contracts in Essex, London, and the surrounding counties.

In line with our comprehensive infection prevention and control policy, the dedicated one-way workflow within the Braintree facility ensures there is no risk of cross contamination between dirty and clean products as they are processed through the system.

In addition to the installation of multiple, brand new Miele laundry machines we have also installed a dedicated mattress cleaning and decontamination spraying room facility.

This facility offers a simple, safe and rapid process for mattress cleaning and decontamination which combines World class TECcare VorTEC fluid with an electrostatic sprayer from Eco-Statics to deliver the disinfectant. The result is maximum disinfectant coverage across all surfaces, thereby increasing process effectiveness whilst safeguarding technicians, clinical staff and patients by reducing the risk of infection or cross infection from all types of PAC mattress.

The clinically proven, single step cleaning and disinfecting TECcare antimicrobial solutions offer rapid, safe, high-level disinfection of the mattress systems and the electrostatic sprayers impart a cationic charge to the disinfectant mist particles emitted onto the surface of the mattresses being disinfected.

This cationic charge ensures the TECcare disinfectant misting particles emitted during the process, 3D-wrap around all corners and penetrate deep, hard to reach areas of the mattress interior, resulting in a uniformed even coating and liquid adhesion of the TECcare VorTEC fluid onto all surfaces.

This pioneering approach to mattress cleaning and decontamination is a global first for PAC support surface manufacturers and service providers.

The fully validated process offers the unique combination of unparalleled PAC support surface decontamination whilst being incredibly environmentally friendly as it applies 65% less disinfectant chemical compared with conventional trigger sprays.

Building on the success of using the Eco Statics sprayers for our decontamination centres, Talley are delighted to announce that we are now partnering with Eco Statics as a distributer into healthcare settings. Like many businesses in the UK and overseas, COVID-19 has had an unforeseen and unprecedented impact on Talley group since the lockdown in March. Despite the changes to working practices and the multiple demands placed on the business since March, it is testament to the drive, ambition and quality of our staff that during this time we have been able to open a totally new and purpose built service and decontamination centre in Essex.

The opening of this new service centre allows us to work more efficiently as a company by meeting local demand for this service whilst simultaneously freeing up much needed capacity at both our Northern and Southern centres as our PAC business continues to grow and expand in the UK.

We are also delighted to announce our partnership with Eco-Statics as it dovetails perfectly with our revised TECcare product range and allows us to offer healthcare customers a more comprehensive cleaning and disinfection solution that is typically required by healthcare providers in the post-COVID world we are now operating in.
